Tinubu Reappoints Orelope-Adefulire As SSAP-SDGs

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reappointment Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SSAP-SDGs). This reappointment, is widely regarded as well-deserved due to her significant achievements during her previous tenure.

Princess Orelope-Adefulire has a remarkable track record of implementing SDGs projects throughout the country, which has earned her recognition on the global SDGs map. Notably, she played a pivotal role in implementing Nigeria's transition strategy from Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her contributions also encompassed the establishment of crucial entities such as the Donor and Development Partners' Forum, Private Sector Advisory Group, and Civil Society Strategy Group on SDGs.

Her accomplishments extend to the domestication and customization of the Integrated Sustainable Development Goals (iSDGs) Simulation Model, the creation of a coherent National Sustainable Development Goals Implementation Plan for 2020-2030, and the realignment of the National Statistical System with SDGs requirements.

Furthermore, she championed the designed of the Integrated National Financing Framework (INFF) for Sustainable Development and provided support to sub-national entities in SDGs-based development planning. Princess Orelope-Adefulire also successfully presented the 1st and 2nd Voluntary National Reviews and conducted a comprehensive country-wide evaluation of two priority SDGs in Nigeria.

Princess Orelope-Adefulire's commitment to pro-people SDGs projects has left an indelible mark across the nation. Before her initial appointment by former President Muhammadu Buhari, she had a distinguished career as a former Lagos state lawmaker and deputy governor.
