Eboigbe Felicitates With Oba Ewuare II On Igue Festival
*Describes His Royal Majesty as the rallying point for the preservation of sublime culture.
Frontline aspirant in the Edo 2024 governorship election, Victor Otaigbe Eboigbe, VOE, has felicitated with the revered monarch of the Bini Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II, on the occasion of the celebration of the Igue Festival.
Eboigbe, who delivered the message on Saturday, described the festival as one of the hallmarks of the well documented and honoured cultures around the world, also paid glowing tribute to the monarch as not only the custodian of such cultural symbols but also the centrepiece of revered monarchies across the globe.
According to him, respect for the culture cuts across the global divides while adulation for the symbol, His Royal Majesty himself, is even more so.
"Igue festival reverberates across not just Nigeria but the world over where the Bini culture is seen to remain as a rallying point for the preservation of sublime cultural practices.
"The Bini monarch, our very Dear Father, who is the custodian of the culture, is even more so. That is why we must celebrate him as the the custodian of a culture that us a pride of place. That is why I join other well wishers, including every Edo citizen, to wish our Dear Father many more years on the throne,” Eboigbe said.
