Joshua KOs Ngannou

In no way similar to his tentative approach against both the flabby Mexican, Andy Ruiz, and the cattish Ukrainian ring hunter, Oleksandr Usyk, British boxer, Anthony Joshua, was his smoking self against his opponent, the Cameroonian predator, Francis Ngannou.

In just two rounds, the former multiple World Boxing heavyweight champion dropped the former NMA hard puncher three times, knocking him unconscious in the last instance, to announce his come back on the big stage.

Although the first round began on a tentative scale, things quickly got heated up as Ngannou served an urgent message that he was in the ring for serious business. But the notice, a hard swing that barely skimmed Joshua's scalp following a low jab, apparently woke up the ex champion.

Following the stunt, Joshua leans in, ran a quick south paw exercise before unleashing a confusing right hand jaw jab that stumbled the Cameroonian and found him floundering to the canvas. It was an emphatic first round pick for Joshua.

Thre brutal punches didn't let off as the second round teed off with Joshua's brilliance in attack and on the counter making it impossible for Ngannou to find any rhythm.

With Joshua quicking turning the predator into a prey, the Cameroonian had no answer to attacks from the more experienced Britton who turned him, Ngannou into a peck and pick subject.

It was therefore not surprising when another right hand from Joshua landed on the side of Ngannou's temple. Though it didn't come with the ferocity of the blow in the first round, the impact of the first round, it was also enough to take the gas out of his opponent, sending him to back on the canvass while attempting to get back in the fight.

Three more hard punches shortly afterwards, the last flying through his wobbly defences, obviously still reeling from the effects of the last blow. This time however, he was too stunned that he dropped like a pack of cards and went cold, prompting ringside medics to rush in for a much-needed quick medical attention.

However, even as it was relieving as he regained consciousness and was helped to the corner for a deserved rest, it was sunset on his ambition.

Joshua is back, full time.

“If they want me, they can come knocking at my door. I’ll get in there and do my best,” he said when asked about the possibility of an encounter with Tyson Fury in the future.
