Why I Killed Adebola and His Wife-Jonathan Marcus

Jonathan Marcus, a mechanic from Maiduguri, doubled as a driver to 80 year-old Adebola Ezekiel for years.

But in ways that will make horror film makers green with envy, he slaughtered the octogenarian and his 79 year old wife, Abiodun Ezekiel. 

In this interview with FreshNews, he spoke on what led him into carrying out the gory murder. "I was frustrated," he said.

What brought you here?

I committed a crime.

What crime did you commit?

I killed a husband and his wife. 

Why did you kill them?

Because of what they did to me.

What did they do?

I am a mechanic. Na me dey repair the husband and the wife motor. Suddenly the husband come deceive me. I dey drive him, no bi say I dey collect salary. Without help, that’s how my work was affected. Mi and him go komot we go dey for hotel, customers go dey call me, no way to come back. We go komot around 12.

Before we go come back, e go reach around 3-3:30 or 40, him go komot N2,000, N2,500, highest, N5,000 give me and me I am a married man, I get pikin, I dey pay house rent, get many expenses on my head.

I complained to this man, this man say, God dey, Go go take control. One day I leave this man. I no dey help am for almost one month, the man send message for me say that I am very wicked. I come call am, respond to him, ask am whether I don steal from him or carry something from hims house. He said no. But I know the condition wen him dey, I no gree come. I say carry driver, him say no because no bi every time him dey move. He say it is only me him dey like to help him because na me dey keep him secret, always run about, hotel by hotel.

Me I did not go the house to kill the wife. The wife was just around. If not, nothing the wife do me. I did not kill the man because of money.

Why did you kill him?

Because of scattering my work.

How long have you been with him?

Over ten years. I am not his driver. I was just helping him. But he never helped me for one day say take this N50,000 take solve your problem

How did you know the family?

Through my mechanics works.

So why did you kill them?

Na frustration.
