Anambra Police Nab Suspected Killers of Umuoji President-General

Detectives of the Anambra State Police Command, in collaboration with Umuoji Vigilante, over the weekend, apprehended suspected killers of the town's President-General, who was murdered in his home.

The development is contained in a statement released on Tuesday by the command spokesperson, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu. 

According to him, four suspects have so far been arrested, from whom the handset and ATM Card of the deceased were recovered.

It added that while confessing their involvement in the murder, they named four other accomplices now on the run.

While commending the detectives for a job well done, state police commissioner, CP Aderemi Adeoye, directed the State Criminal Investigation Department to deploy its forensic team to scene of crime and take over the investigation. 

He also ordered the Homicide Team in State CID to apprehend the four accomplices still on the run and unravel the motive behind the gruesome crime.

He assured Presidents-General across the State that their safety is of primary concern to the Police as they represent their people in governance by their town Unions
