Anambra Police Boss Commiserate With Families of Junior Pope, Other Nollywood Actors Who Died in Boat Mishap
*Orders investigation into possibility of criminal neglect.
Anambra state Police commissioner, CP Aderemi Adeoye, has commiserate with the family of Cameroun-born Nollywood Actor, Pope Odonwodo, better known as Junior Pope, and other stars who lost their lives following a boat accident which occured on the River Niger on Wednesday.
The development is contained in a statement released by the spokesperson the state police command, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, on Thursday.
The victims lost their lives while returning from an Anambra West council area film location to Asaba, Delta state capital, when one of the boats conveying them was involved in a crash.
The Commissioner prayed Almighty God to grant their souls a sweet repose.
Although preliminary enquiry has given insight into the cause of the accident, he has however, mandated an exhaustive investigation with a view to determining criminal liability of any person, if any, that may have led to the mishap.
