Retirement: Binta Rano Bows Out Of Service Colourfully

Staff of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 celebrated the retirement of the Director of Staff Welfare Services, Commander of the EFCC, CE Binta Abubakar Rano who bowed out colourfully from public service, after attaining the peak of her career.

Retirement: Binta Rano Bows Out Of Service Colourfully

Staff of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 celebrated the retirement of the Director of Staff Welfare Services, Commander of the EFCC, CE Binta Abubakar Rano who bowed out colourfully from public service, after attaining the peak of her career.

 

At a send-forth party held at the Corporate Headquarters of the Commission in Jabi, Abuja, Rano was commended for her excellent role in serving the Commission diligently. 

 

 Secretary to the Commission, Muhammad Hammajoda, applauded the former Director for the meritorious service she rendered to the Commission over the years, while wishing her success in her future endeavours.

 

“On behalf of the Executive Chairman of the Commission Mr. Ola Olukoyede, the management and staff of the Commission; we all wish our able mother, friend, and colleague a successful retirement life",  he said. 

 

On her part, Head, Staff Welfare Services Felicia Bot-Timothy says Rano is a good person who is committed to her duty, and has  great leadership skills. She therefore on behalf of the Staff Welfare Services and the Commission wished her a successful retirement life.  

 Also speaking, Commandant of the EFCC Academy, Karu, Commander of the EFCC, CE Babashani Umar Sanda, and the Director of Forensics and Crime Laboratory, Commander of the EFCC, CE Benedict Agweye described her "as an excellent administrator, graceful woman, amazing and open-minded leader who is totally dedicated to the service of the EFCC and the nation at large"

Responding, Rano, who almost broke down in tears while trying to express her appreciation at the massive show of love for her, said that she will surely miss her time with the Commission, adding that whoever she offended in the course of her service knowingly or unknowingly should endeavour to forgive her, stressing that everything she did  was in the course of duty.

“I am grateful for working with each and every one of you, and I will continue to cherish all of you in my heart and I will continue to identify with the Commission, wherever I found myself”, She said.   

  Rano joined the EFCC in 2005 and rose to become a Director in 2021.  Her last duty post was Department of Staff Welfare Services.
