Wagner Is Making Africa Freer-Yevgeny Prigozhin
Insists group is making Russia greater in every continent.
Wagner boss, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said the Wagner mercenary group, is making Africa freer.
Prigozhin made the declaration in a video message published on Monday which appeared to have been made in the continent.
“We are working. The temperature is above 50 degrees Celsius (122 degrees Fahrenheit). Just how we like it,” Prigozhin said in the video.
The video message is one of the former Kremlin ally’s few public statements in fewer public outings since he led his group in a rebellious move against Russia’s military leadership in June.
Prigozhin is seen in the video holding an assault rifle in a desert-like plain with parked military vehicles.
His Wagner group is in strong partnership with and has presence in several countries, including Mali and the Central African Republic.
“The Wagner Group is conducting reconnaissance and search activities. Making Russia even greater on every continent-and Africa even freer,” he said.W
