Veteran Nollywood actress Iyabo Oko dies At 61

The daughter of a veteran Nollywood actress, Sidikat Odunkanwi, Bisi Aisha, on Thursday confirmed the death of the popular actress, Iyabo Oko.

Bisi Aisha made the announced on her Facebook page on Thursday, stating that her mother, the actress passed on Wednesday evening.

“May ur soul Rest In Peace, mummy”, she wrote. Also, actress Foluke Daramola-Salako, had confirmed the death of the popular actress.

Daramola-Salako wrote her verified Instagram page,: “and finally we lost her.. rip Iyabo Oko, we did our best but God knows best”

Sidikat Odunkanwi was 61-year-old before her death. It was gathered that the actress disappeared from the public and movie scene acting due to long ill-health.

Sidikat Odunkanwi was born on the 15th of November 1960, in Iwo Local Government Area of Osun State and had stage names such as “Iyabo Oko” “Apoti Aje” Sisi Mama”.

According to reports, her daughters, Olamide, had disclosed last year, that her mother was diagnosed with ischaemic stroke about five years ago but kept her health issues away from the public.

Nollywood celebrities like Foluke Daramola, Iyabo Ojo, Bolaji Amusan, Mercy Aigbe, Biodun Okeowo, and others, assisted financially in the past.
