Nigeria Navy Reshuffles 57 Officers In Major shake-up

A major shake up and reshufflment have been announced at the Nigerian Navy with the appointments of senior commanders, including 56 rear admirals and a Commodore.

The Director of Information, Commodore Adedotun Ayo-Vaughan, in a statement on Thursday, released the new appointments.

 The former Director of Logistics, Defence Space Administration, Rear Admiral Olusanya Bankole, is now the Chief of Communications and Information Technology, Naval Headquarters. 

"Others are Rear Admiral Ibrahim Dewu, formerly Director of Project Implementation, Monitoring, and Evaluation Directorate, Naval Headquarters, is now the Chief of Defence Civil Military Cooperation, Defence Headquarters, while Rear Admiral Kennedy Ezete, formerly Director of Project Monitoring, Defence Headquarters, returns as the Chief of Administration, Naval Headquarters

"Rear Admiral Livingstone Izu, formerly Director Manning at Naval Headquarters, has been appointed as the new Chief of Logistics at Naval Headquarters, while Rear Admiral Musa Madugu, formerly Deputy Director Special Operation Forces at Defence Headquarters, has been appointed as the Admiral Superintendent Naval Ordinance Depot

"Rear Admiral Daupreye Matthew, the former Director of Innovation and Concept Development at Naval Headquarters, is now the Director of Training at Defence Headquarters, and Rear Admiral Zakariya Muhammad, the former Director of Training at Naval Headquarters, has been reappointed Chief of Training and Operations. The statement reads.

Also affected are "Rear Admiral Emmanuel Nmoyem has been reappointed as Director of Human Rights Desks at Defence Headquarters, while Rear Admiral Ibrahim Shettima, formerly Flag Officer Commanding Central Naval Command, has been appointed as Director of Plans

"Rear Admiral Monday Unurhiere, the former Director of Plans at Naval Headquarters, has been appointed Chief of Defence Administration at the Defence Headquarters, while Rear Admiral Hamza Kaoje, the former Director of Equipment Standardisation and Harmonisation at the Defence Headquarters, has been appointed Group Managing Director, Navy Holdings Limited, among others."
