The United States Embassy Abuja, in collaboration with Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja, and IICD Center, are organising freedom film screening titled: "Sustained Outrage” to commemorate the World Press Freedom Day.

The film screening will be followed by a discussion facilitated by U.S. Embassy Information Officer, Robert Gabor. The Filmmaker is Gabriela Cavanagh and to last 26 minutes runtime.

The synopsis of the "Sustained Outrage” is about over 100 years family-owned Charleston Gazette-Mail which has been a relentless watchdog over West Virginia’s most powerful, and propelled by its unofficial mantra: “Sustained Outrage.”

But just eight months after winning the Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting, the Gazette-Mail grapples with a painful reality: bankruptcy ahead of a sale. Shot over three years, Sustained Outrage is an intimate look inside the paper as its future is decided.
