Money Is King: Texas Conservatives Buy Former Abortion Centre, Convert It  Into Parenting Support Centre

Lifesite News reports that A former abortion mill in Texas has been converted into a pro-life parenting assistance thanks to the efforts of area pro-lifers.

The Pillar and Texas Right to Life detail the story of McAllen Pregnancy Center (MPC), which for years has operated near the McAllen location of the notorious Whole Woman’s Health (WWH) abortion chain. Now closed, the latter was previously the only place to procure abortions along the Rio Grande Valley.

In July 2022, a month after the U.S. Supreme Court allowed state abortion bans to take effect by overturning Roe v. Wade, WWH put the building up for sale. That October, a group of doctors called the Peruvian Alliance, led by infectious disease specialist and MPC board member Dr. Luis Alberto Rosas, purchased the site.

The alliance then sold the building to MPC. When the news got out, WWH chief Amy Hagstrom Miller said she thought the Peruvian Alliance was going to be opening a family practice center and felt “duped” upon learning of the pro-life use to which it would actually be put.

Now, under MPC founder, Yolanda Chapa, the location offers pregnancy tests, parenting classes, counseling services, baby supplies, and even some medical services.

“Our medical director is an OB/GYN, and we do have medical staff, but the services we provide are very limited,” says Chapa. “So we do not diagnose, but we can refer, and we have pro-life OB/GYNs who help. So every client, if they want, will leave with a doctor’s appointment, and the doctors can help them apply for Medicaid.”

“I was on that sidewalk for 17 years,” she went on. “I was there in the rain, or heat — sometimes it was 105 degrees and we were there — from 7 in the morning until like 1. That’s when the abortionist would leave on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.”

“This is a huge victory for the Lord,” Chapa added. “Because we did nothing. He did it all. It will be a place of resurrection, right?”

This purchase is highly commendable as it shows the good use of money. It goes to the heart of my personal campaign that pro-lifers should treat this noble cause also from an economic perspective in addition to first and foremost the moral angle.

It is high time that conservatives globally use their superior numerical strength to mobilize funds to match the liberals’ financial war chest in the best interest of the unborn whose existence is now subject to nauseating political correctness.

Recently, Left Wing UK Newspaper, Guardian UK lent its voice to the global call for the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade Reparations. An investigation into its ownership structure showed that the paper was founded in 1821 by John Edward Taylor which was originally known as the Manchester Guardian, had sturdy links to slavery through the cotton trade.

David Olusoga, renowned Nigerian-British Historian has screamed to the High Heavens in support of reparations as well.

However, one salient fact is ignored by these campaigners which are the lives of the unborn – hundreds of millions of babies have been denied the most fundamental human right – The right to life and there is conspiratorial silence about reparation for them as well as they also deserve it.

One of the world’s most prominent eugenicists and Founder of the murderous Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, strategically cited these abortion clinics in the black and impoverished neighbourhoods of the United States. Poor black women were encouraged to have unrestricted sex without ‘protection’ and encouraged to have free abortions in those clinics.

As a pragmatic way of reparation, let all the abortion clinics globally starting from the United States should be permanently shut down in addition to their sinister partners-in-crime such as Marie Stopes International, Society for Family Health, United Nations Population Fund, and all the pro-choice organizations that back this vile culture of death and destruction.

Africa has been the whipping boy for pro-abortion activists for far too long and the exportation of it abroad especially there must be declared illegal by Congress.

While I commend the Mexico City Policy instituted by former President Ronald Reagan in 1986 to ban the provision of abortion services abroad, the practice of the Democratic party lifting it when they come to power and making abortion one of the core areas of focus of their foreign policies should also be prohibited as well and given criminal status. Yes, abortion should be criminalized with draconian and brutal sanctions for offenders.
