Court Asks NNPC To Pay Ararume N5 Billion, Reinstates Him As Non-Executive Chairman

A Federal High Court in Abuja, on Tuesday asked the newly Incorporated Nigeria National Petroleum Company, (NNPC). to pay Senator Ifeanyi Ararume the some N5 billion and reinstate him  as a non-executive Chairman of the NNPC.

A Federal High Court in Abuja, on Tuesday asked the newly Incorporated Nigeria National Petroleum Company, (NNPC). to pay Senator Ifeanyi Ararume the some N5 billion and reinstate him  as a non-executive Chairman of the NNPC. 
Justice Inyang Ekwo in his judgment, while nullifying his removal from the board, also
 ordered that the sum of N5 billion be paid to Ararume for damages incurred as a result of his removal from office.
Justice Ekwo set aside all decisions made by the board after the removal of Ararume as the non executive chairman since January 2022 till date. He also ruled that Ararume be reinstated as non-executive chairman of the NNPC, with all rights and privileges due him.
