Tribunal Sacks Kano's NNPP Governor
*Orders withdrawal of certificate of return, to be issued to the APC candidate.
The Kano State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal has sacked governor of the state and candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, in the March 18, Kabir Yusuf.
The tribunal gave the judgement Wednesday.
It also ordered that his certificate of return be withdrawn and issued to the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidat, Dr. Nasir Gawuna.
Governor Yusuf is expected to appeal the decision.
