Tinubu Announces Keyamo As Ministerial Nominee
*Drops Dr Mary Shetty for Mairiya Mahmoud Bunkure
The Presidency has announced the immediate former minister of Labour and Productivity and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Festus Keyamo, as a ministerial nominee.
His announcement was made Friday at the floor of the National Assembly, during the ongoing screening of nominees by the Majority Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele.
Keyamo’s announcement as a ministerial nominee came on the heels of the removal of Kano state nominee, Dr. Maryam Shetty, who was earlier schedule for screening today.
According to the letter transmitted to the Senate by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Shetty was replaced with Mairiya Mahmoud Bunkure, also from Kano state.
Shetty’s name was forwarded to the Senate for screening on Wednesday alongside 18 other nominees.
