Prince Harry to Make a Cameo Coronation Appearance, to Sit 10 Rows Backstage, Not Part of After-Coronation Concert

Indications emerged Saturday that Prince Harry will be making a cameo appearance in England for the coronation ceremony of his father, King Charles III of England.

Royal sources say he will be in England for less than 24 hours, certainly not enough time to say "hi" to either the new King or his elder brother, Prince William.

Quoting one of the Royal sources, The Mirror reports that Prince Harry decided to be part of the coronation “After much back and forth but insisted it will only be a fleeting visit".

“Organisers have been told Harry won’t be attending the concert with the rest of the royal family, which is a great shame as it will be such a spectacular event,” the source is quoted as saying.

In addition, apart from not being part of Sunday's Coronation Ball, the Duke will be quartered 10 rows back at the coronation ceremony sitting arrangement.

Paul Burrell, a former Royal insider and confidante of Princess Diana, told GB News that the Duke will be "in and out in a flash" and is unlikely to have enough time to speak with either his brother or father during the visit.

"It is not a surprise. He is coming to show face. He is coming to put his foot in the door. He is coming because his father wants him to be there. His father will be delighted that both his sons will be there to witness this incredible day in his life. But Harry is not going to hang around," Burrell said.

"He doesn't want to spend much time around them. There is no chance of a reconciliation anytime soon, I'm afraid. I think he will get a very icy reception from the Windsor. He will be sitting ten rows back. He will not even see his brother or his father in that time," he added.

An unnamed close friend of Prince William also told the Daily Beast that the short visit was a" massive diss"to the royal family.

Buckingham Palace announced last week that it was "pleased" to confirm Harry’s attendance, adding however, that his wife will not be coming with him as she would be staying back in California with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Incidentally, King Charles III's coronation ceremony coincides with Prince Archie’s May 6 birthday, one reason the Duke would have to hurry back to California.
