City Will Trounce Arsenal-Gabriel Agbonlahor

Nigerian England international and Aston Villa legend, Gabriel Agbonlahor, has said that Manchester City will trounce and embarrass Arsenal when both sides meet in their title decider clash on Wednesday.

Agbonlahor, who is obviously not impressed with the Gunners' 3-all, lack lustre performance against Southampton, said City will embarrass the East London league leader on Wednesday, noting that Arsenal have lost their firm grip on the title after the last stretch of draws with Liverpool, Westham and Southampton.

Agbonlahor, who said the league no longer has what it takes to contend with City, pointed out that with William Saliba injured, Arsenal's quest is further threatened as the team no longer has defenders that has the wherewithal to check City’s attack.

“For me, Rob Holding is a Championship defender. Not good enough to be third choice at a team who want to win the title.

"Since Saliba has been injured they’ve conceded nine goals in five games-three draws in a row, that’s not championship form.

"I think that Man City will put three or four past this Arsenal team on Wednesday, I really do. He’ll play Mahrez or Bernardo Silva on Zinchenko-Haaland will be in the changing room now saying, ‘guys I can’t wait to play against Holding and Gabriel," he told talkSport.

Meanwhile, England international and former Manchester United forward, Wayne Rooney, says Arsenal still have what it takes to defeat title chaser, Manchester City.

Rooney said the panacea is in stopping the rampaging runs of Erling Haaland and going all out to impose their game on the Pep Guardiola's side.

“go out and try to impose their own game,” as Pep Guardiola’s side “can be vulnerable” when they are “hit in the transition.”

“Arsenal should focus on how to expose those City defenders rather than focus too much on Haaland,” Rooney added.

Pundits are of the view that Manchester City will overtake Arsenal and go on to win the 2022-23 Premier League season title if they win their remaining games. Wednesday's game is widely seen as the decider.
