Nigerian Woman Found Dead, Decomposed In Her US Home

A Nigerian woman, identified as Uju Onyeyili, has been found dead and decomposed in her Baltimore, Maryland, United States, apartment.
The body of Ms Onyeyili, a citizen of Abatete, Idemili North council area of Anambra state, was discovered when police police entered her resident following complaints by her neighbours of a foul-smelling odour oozing from her apartment.
Ms Onyeyili reportedly had an accident two weeks ago but abandoned the car at the scene of the crash and went home. However, concerned neighbours reported perceiving the foul smell from her apartment to the police after not seeing her in a week.
At the time of finding her decomposing body, no close relative of hers could be reached in the US, a reason why her photo was shared online, with the police asking family members to pick up her corpse or have it disposed of by the state.
The death of Ms Onyeyili, a member of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, aka, Olumba Olumba Olumba, has been buried by the sect in the US.
Her demise has sparked a conversation about Nigerians who move to the US and proceed to live in isolation.
