Scores Killed In Maine Shooting Rage
'Person of interest', Robert Card.

Reports say at least scores of persons have so far lost their lives in the shooting rage that took place in Maine, United States, on Wednesday.

Local officials also said many more have also been reported injured in the shootings across a bowling alley and one other location, identified as a restaurant and bar in the city of Lewiston, Maine.

Though police authorities say the identity of the shooter is yet to be ascertained, a police intelligence bulletin identified Robert Card, a trained firearms instructor, as the person of interest.

Without providing much information on Card's state of health, the intelligence document describes him as reportedly hearing voices, threatening to carry out a shooting at the military training base in Saco, Maine.

City Councilor, Robert McCarthy, who said the death toll had risen to 22, added that many were also injured in the shooting spree.

“My understanding is that they have a tentative identification… of the shooter at the bowling alley, confirmed 22 dead, many, many more injured,” McCarthy said.

Meanwhile, authorities have ordered residents and business owners to stay inside and off the streets. The shelter-in-place order was also extended Wednesday night from Lewiston to Lisbon, about 8 miles or 13 kilometers away, after a “vehicle of interest” was found there, authorities said.
