Bandits Run Loose in Abuja, Abduct Director Near Military Base

Bandits appear to be running loose around the Bwari Council area of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, as information reaching FreshNews says they abducted a director with the Federal Housing Authority, FHA, from his on Thursday.

According to sources, the director, identified as Aondo Ver, was picked up from his home, less than 200 metres from a military base in the Pambara area of Bwari.

The bandits, our sources added, struck at about 12.30am Thursday morning, shot indiscriminately, leading to general panic among residents of the community. They however, scampered into safety, alongside the abducted director, through the surrounding bushes.

Residents who confirmed the development, explained that the abduction took place in spite of the presence of military personnel stationed at a place they identified as the "Camp", a military base located about 200 metres from the scene of the abduction.

Ironically, military personnel, both serving and retired, are also resident of the community where the director was picked up by the bandits.

“Bandits attacked Pambara Extension over the night, at about 12:30 am today and they abducted one of our neighbours, Mr Aondo Ver, who is a Director in Federal Housing Authority, FCT, a resident volunteered.
