Chibok Invasion: Boko Haram Kills 11, Abducts One
Armed insurgents of the Jamā'at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da'wah wa'l-Jihād sect, also known as Boko Haram, disguising in military attire, have attacked both Gatamarwa and Tsiha in Chibok council area of Borno state killing 11 people and abducting one lady.
Reports also say the bandits also looted the affected communities, carting away foodstuffs and livestock.
Community members who spoke with reporters confirmed that the attackers came in vehicles and motor bikes, armed AK47 rifles.
They added that the insurgents came into the communities firing at people who were returning from a funeral ceremony in Gatamarwa, after which they attacked another community, Tsiha, near Shikarkir, where they killed three people and abducted a young lady.
“They came in large numbers with sophisticated weapons, burning houses and carting away foodstuffs.
‘I cannot tell you the exact number of people they have killed, but I can confirm to you that many people were reportedly killed,” one of the community members volunteered.
