The Zamfara State Police Command, has promised to Improve, sustain the Inter-agency collaboration for effective crime fighting in Zamfara State.
The Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Police Command, CP Kolo Yusuf, made the promise to his visitor, Brigade Commander, Brigadier General S. Ahmed, adding that the Command would make a roboast, sustainable and improved working synergy with all the sister security agencies in the state to effectively curtail banditary, kidnapping, and other heinous crime bedevilling the state for over a decade.
The Zamfara State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Mohammed Shehu, in a statement on Tuesday, said the CP Kolo received the new Commander 1 Brigade Nigerian Army, in Gusau, Brigadier General S. Ahmed, during a courtesy visit. 
According to him, CP Kolo Yusuf, made the declaration while receiving the new Commander 1 Brigade, Nigerian Army, who was on a courtesy visit on Tuesday at the Police Command Headquarters, in Gusau.
The CP commended the complementary support of the military in internal security operations adding that the only solution to the prevailing security challenges in the state was to improve and sustain the existing interagency synergy, and also do away with rivalry.
The CP thanked the Brigade Commander for the timely visit, and reassured him of the Command's continous partnership with the military and other stakeholders in its quest to restore lasting peace and security in the state.
The Brigade Commander, Brigadier General S. Ahmed, ealier in his remarks, commended the  resillience of the police in Zamfara State, especially during the just concluded 2023 General elections.
He observed that the police being the leading agency in its role in internal security operations, said the cannot be underated adding that the military was only to support the police because of its superior firepower.
 The Commander further acknowledged the operational prowes of CP Kolo Yusuf, and called on him to document his working experiences for future reference. Both officers discussed other sensitive security issues, extensively in a bid to stem the tide of activities of criminal elements in the state.
