Shaibu Debunks Statement Ascribed To Him
*Says he never granted any interview or permirmitted anyone to speak on his behalf.
Embattled Edo state Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Philip Shaibu, has debunked a statement ascribed to him over why he has not directly spoken to his boss, Godwin Obaseki, on their ongoing rift.
Shaibu made the clarification in a statement signed and released Thursday by his press secretary, Ebomhiana Musa.
The deputy governor, who said he has been on his annual leave, pointed out that the statement did not emanate from him as he neither granted any interview nor authorized anyone to speak on his behalf on the issue.
"I'm able to speak for myself, I have not authorized anybody to speak for me and I have not granted any press interviews. The statement credited to me is fake," he stated.
