As he retaliates drone attack on Crimea bridge
In an apparent retaliation over Monday's drone attack on the Crimea bridge, Russia on Tuesday, struck Ukraine's grain port in Odessa with a barrage of missiles and drones.
The attack is coming a day after dumping the U.N. brokered grain export deal which allows Ukraine to export grain, following Putin's vow to retaliate the Crimea bridge blast which killed two Russians.
Describing the overnight attack as a, “…furtheru proof that Russia wants to endanger the lives of 400 million people in various countries that depend on Ukrainian food exports," head of Ukraine’s food export, Andriy Yermak, said via telegram, that Ukraine's air force downed six Kalibr missiles and 31 of the 36 drones involved.
Ukraine's southern military command noted however, that ensuing falling debris and blast waves damaged several homes and an unspecified number of port infrastructure particularly in Odessa, where local authorties report ongoing serious fire.
