Retain Security Infrastructure, Anambra Monarch Charges Incoming Police Boss

The traditional ruler of Ogbunka community in Orumba South Council of Anambra state, Igwe Amb John Mark Anyaoha, has called on the expected new Commissioner of Police in the state to maintain and improve the existing security structures.

The monarch dropped the wise counsel during the occasion of conferment of Dike-Ochioha on the outgoing police Commissioner in Anambra state, Mr Aderemi Adeoye.

Mr Adeoye, according to the monarch had within his short stay in the state successfully reorganized the security structure in the state for effective impact. That his community was instantly rescued from the hitherto constant ravages of criminality and insurgency.

He therefore appealed to whoever will replace him not to deviate from the security structures Mr Adeoye put on ground that greatly rattled the activities of kidnappers, insurgency and other criminal activities across all the 21 Councils of Anambra state.

The visibly elated monarch also conferred the chieftancy title of "Ada ejiejemba" on Mr Adeoye's wife, Mrs Bolanle Adeoye. The outgoing Anambra police boss in his speech disclosed that he would be embarking on business next.

He urged serving officers and men to embrace steadfastness and eschew any untoward conduct.

He enjoined traditional rulers in the state to keep watchful eyes, partner security agencies and to report any obnoxious conducts capable of disrupting peace to relevant quarters.
