Neymar Falls For Saudis 77m Pounds Sterling
*As he joins Al-Hilal
Paris St Germeine has yielded to a £7.6m, about 90m euros, deal from saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal to offload its midfielder, Neymar Junior.
Reports say the deal, which includes add-ons, is subject to the Brizillian international completing his medicals and all necessary paperworks.
Neymar, 31, joined the Parisian club in 2017 for a world record 222m euros feee. However, he was left out Saturday from the club’s Ligue 1 away draw against Lorient.
He is also reported to be out of manager Luis Enrique’s plans for the new season.
The Brazilian, who earned an estimated 25m euros annual income while in PSG, made 173 appearnces for the club and was instrumental to the 13 trophies and five Ligue 1 titles won by the Parisian club, including its appearance in the finals of the 2020 Champion’s League.
Sadly, his stay at the club was marred by a lithany of ankle injuries, including one in March from which he missed the rest of the club's season and his country’s matches at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after cupping an injury in the opening match.
Neymar is joining stars like Karim Benzema, Sadio Mane, N’Golo Kante, Jordan Henderson, Ruben Neves and Roberto Firmino in the Suadi Arabia Pro League, following Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit from Manchester United to join Al-Nassr in January 2022.
