Labour Party Enugu Governorship Crisis: National Chairman Confirms Chijioke Edeoga As party Candidate For Governorship
The National Executive Council of the Labour Party led by the National Chairman, Barrister Julius Abure, have confirmed Chijoke Edeoga, as it's flagbearer for the Enugu State governorship candidate in the March 18, 2023, governorship and House of Assembly elections.

The National Executive Council of the Labour Party led by the National Chairman, Barrister Julius Abure, have confirmed Chijoke Edeoga, as it's flagbearer for the Enugu State governorship candidate in the March 18, 2023, governorship and House of Assembly elections.
Abure declared on Tuesday, that the party’s governorship candidate for Saturday’s election in Enugu State is Hon.Barr. Chijoke Edeoga, adding that there was no crisis towards the choice of Edeoga by the party in the state and at National level.
Abure in a statement said the party's attention was drawn to some media reports, insunations and attempts by some overambitious candidates and individuals, trying to usurp the oppourtunity gifted by the Obidients and Labour party to Hon.Barr, Chijioke Edeoga, as the flagbearer.
He said the over ambitious candidates were trying to de-market the the character of Edeoga, instead of selling themselves.
According to him, the LP candidate for the governorship race in Enugu State is Edeoga, stressing that the party has no other candidate or candidates in any other individual except the one accepted by the Labour Party and the Obi-Datti and Obidient group and their teeming party supporters across the country.
He warned the general public to ignore and disregard statements or moves by candidates of other political parties to harvest where they did not sow.
"For the umpteenth time, we want to reiterate that in Enugu State, the Obidients do not have ANY partnership with anybody or party and directs all our Enugu State Obidients and teeming party supporters to disregard any statements or moves by candidates of other political parties to harvest where they did not sow.
"Our candidate is Hon. Barrister Chijioke Edeoga. Vote for him and all Labour Party Candidates for the House of Assembly massively on our mantra for Saturday.
"Vote LP from Top To Bottom We must reclaim our state and country. Forward Ever, Backwards Never." Barr. Julius Abure, stated.
