Frank Mbah, 6 Other DIGs Redeployed As IGP Overhauls Police
*Says development is sequel to the promotion of deserving officers.
Seven newly promoted Deputy Inspector-General of Police, DIGs, including Frank Mba and Bala Ciroma, have been redeployed by the Acting Police Inspector-General, Olukayode Egbetokun.
The development is contained in a statement made issued by Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Tuesday.
While Frank Mbah has been redeployed to head the department of Training and Development, Bala Ciroma now heads Finance and Administration. Habu A. Sani will henceforth, head Force Intelligence Bureau, FIB.
Other redeployed DIGs are Usman D. Nagogo, Department of Logistics and Supply; Daniel Sokari-Pedro, Department of Information and Communication Technology; Ibrahim Sani Ka’oje, Department of Research and Planning, and Ede Ayuba Ekpeji, Department of Operations.
The statement also indicates that several Assistant Inspectors-Generals of Police, AIGs, were redeployed to head Commands and Formations.
They include Oladimeji Yomi Olanrewaju, Force Secretary; Yekini Adio Ayoku, mni, Police Mobile Force; Idris Dabban Dauda, fdc, Zone 16 Yenagoa; Oyediran Adesoye Oyeyemi, fsi, Police Cooperative and Benjamin Okolo Nebeolisa, fdc, AIG Department of ICT.
“...the IGP charges the newly posted and redeployed senior officers to entrench professionalism in their respective Departments, Commands, and Formations while prioritizing human security and people-centric policing services,” the statement read in part.
According to the police statement, the development is sequel to the promotion of deserving officers to the rank of Deputy Inspectors-General of Police by the Police Service Commission, PSC.
