Two Die In Ex-Oyo Governor, Alao Akala’s Residential Fire Incident

Two persons have been confirmed dead during fire incident at the Ogbomoso residence of a former governor of Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala.

Reports say the residence of the former governor, located in the Randa area of Ogbomoso, was burnt down in the wee hours of Monday, December 18, 2023. 

According to sources, the cause of the fire incident is yet to be ascertained and the degree of the damage is not yet known.

Eyewitness said those who lost their lives were living in the house.

“I have been informed. Yes. The two people are those living in the house.

“I have called one of the people who are in the house and he confirmed it to me. The inferno happened this morning,” the source said.

According to the source, the fire started around 7:50 am this morning.

He explained that one of the victims died instantly while the other one gave up the ghost at Bowen Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, where she was rushed to for medical attention. He identified one of the victims as Mr Jumo.
