President Tinubu Endorses Airports Renamed By Buhari
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the renaming of 15 Airports early renamed by the former President Mohammadu Buhari's administration.
Recall that Buhari renamed 15 airports, and approved BoD for aviation agencies, few hours to his exit
Buhari had few hours before the exit of the current administration, renamed the 15 airports after some notable Nigerians.
 The approval by Tinubu according to the Federal Ministry of Aviation, was part of a sector-wide reform.
The approval was contained in a memo on Monday, June 1, 2023.
According to the memo, Mrs Joke Olatunji for the Director of Airport Operations, the Maiduguri Airport will now honour the immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari.
She stated that the Port Harcourt Airport would bear the name of the late nationalist Obafemi Awolowo, adding that 
the Nasarawa Airport has been named after the late founder of the Sokoto Caliphate, Usman Dan Fodio.
