NIPR Begins Process of Crackdown on Quackery

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, has begun the process of cracking down on fake an quack PR practitioners operating without due adherence to strict professionalism and excellence.

The development is contained in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Stanley Ogadigo, fnipr. 

According to the statement, the decision follows interventions from various stakeholders and subsequent approval by its governing council which approved a slight modification to the institute’s approach to enforcement of strict compliance to professionalism and excellence in public relations practice in the country. 

The Council at its 106th meeting considered the presentation by the NIPR Act Compliance and Enforcement Committee headed by Gen. Chris Olukolade (rtd), fnipr and the submissions of some State Chapter Chairmen on the subject, to use the period of 1st January to 31st March, 2024, to intensify public enlightenment and awareness before the commencement of full crackdown on 1st April, 2024.
