Niger's Garde Internationale Intercepts Boko Haram's International Arms Trafficking Gang
*Identifies notorious Nigerians criminals as links
Vigilante patrol team of Niger Republic's Garde Nationale successfully intercepted and dismantled an arm trafficking network affiliated to the notorious Boko Haram terrorist organization.
Members of the trafficking team were intercepted at Nguel Kolo, located 25 kilometers north of Chetimari, Niger Republic.
Six AK47 rifles were recovered from the Gulf car in which they were traveling.
The three apprehended gang members include two Nigerians, one of them named Bitrus Andakori, and a yet to be identified individual, who is said to be at large.
In a confessional statement, BITRUS admitted that the gang was operating as an intermediary within an illicit arms network that is linked with Boko Haram.
He also identified an unnamed Nigerian notorious criminal, now at large, as an accomplice.
