Nigerien Troops Ambush Fleeing Boko Haram Militants, Kill One, Rescue 11 Nigerians

Troops of the Nigererien army ambushed armed terrorists belonging to the Boko Haram sect who were attempting to flee from the border town Gabti, Mobbar council area of Borno state, into Niger Republic. 

Following the successful daring ambush, the troops killed one of the terrorists while others escaped.

The troops were also recovered a cache of weapons and over N11m cash. 

According to reports, the troops recovered two AK-47 rifles, hand grenades and ammunition, as well as rescued 11 Nigerians held hostage by the terrorists.
