Natanyahu Rushed To Hospital

Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Natanyahu, was on Saturday, rushed to the Sheba Medical Centre, Gan, for urgent medical evaluation.

Natanyahu was immediately placed on admission at the emergency department of the Tel Hashomer medical facility after feeling unwell.

The Prime Minister was brought to the hospital's emergency room from his Caesarea home, after falling unconscious from hitting his head following a fall.

Though he is said to be in good condition, he was also said to be experiencing chest pain. 

The 73 year-old Prime Minister is said to be undergoing brain imaging procedure to ensure that his brain was not damaged following a fall. The test is also to ensure his heart rhythm is normal. 

Observers are concerned that his health status may not be unconnected to the wave of extreme heat currently sweeping over Israel.  

Natanyahu, head of the country’s right wing Likud Party, has been in the forefront of Israeli politics for close to three decades.

He returned to office as prime Minister eighteen months after losing it in June 2021, twelve years ascending the throne.

He has been under immense pressure in recent weeks following his drive to revamp the country’s judicial system, a decision which infuriated millions of Israelis, leading up to an unprecedented country-wide protest that is yet to completely die down
