Troops of troops of the 81 Task Force Battalion, Operation Hadin Kai, have rescued another 'Chibok girl' almost one decade after Boko Haram terrorists abducted her alongside hundreds of other girls.

Theatre Commander, Operation Hadin Kai, Maj Gen Gold Chibusi, made the disclosure during a media briefing Monday.

Maj Gen Chibusi explained that the 'Chibok girl', Mary Njeki, now 27, a Kibaku by tribe, was rescued alongside her now repentant husband, Adam, during an incursion into the terrorist enclave in Dikwa, on Monday, August 14.

Mary, who has been handed over to the Borno state government, is number 55 on the 2014 abducted girls' list.

Upon her abduction, she was married off to Adam, then a Boko Haram Commander, with whom she had two female children, both of whom are however, deceased.

"While in captivity, she was forcefully married to one Adam, a Boko Haram terrorist.

"Since her rescue, she has undergone thorough medical examination in our medical facility," Maj Gen Chibusi disclosed.

Mary told newsmen that she fled the terrorist enclave in Dikwa axis alongsid her repentant husband and reached a point where the troops rescued both of them.

She has however, been separated from him following his transfer to the repentant insurgents' camp.

Mary, the 16th girl rescued by troops in recent months, was abducted alongside 275 other girls from the Government Secondary School, Chibok, on the night of April, 2014.
