You Are Guilty-Old Bailey Court Tells Ekweremadu, Wife and Dr Obeta
The Old Bailey Court in London has found former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Wife and Dr Obinna Obeta guilty of their organ harvesting charges.
Old Bailey court in London, United Kingdom, has found former Senate Deputy President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice, guilty of organ harvesting.
The court also found his accomplice, Dr Obinna Obeta, guilty of the same offense.
The judgement, handed down Thursday, found Ekweremadu and his co-convict guilty of facilitating the travel of a 21 year-old Nigerian to Britain with the intention of exploiting same, a crime associated with modern day slavery.
The judgement is coming after six weeks of trial.
The trial judge, Justice Jeremy Johnson, will pronounce the sentence at a later date.
