Terrorism: Supreme Court Rules Against Appeal Court, Says Nnamdi Kanu must Be Tried

The Supreme Court on Friday, 15 December 2023, upturned the judgement of the Court of Appeal which freed and discharged the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu of the treason case brought against him by the Federal Government.

The Supreme Court said the fact that he was illegally trafficked  back to Nigeria from Kenya after jumping bail, did not strip the high court of the jurisdiction of hearing the case.
