2023 Children's Day/Anambra Police Command Visits School, Counsels Children

As part of activities marking the 2023 Children's Day celebration and in continuation of its community policing initiatives, the Anambra State Police Command on Friday, visited the Police Children School, Awka. 

During the visit, the state Police boss, represented by the Command's spokesperson, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, interacted with the pupils and counseled them on the need to be familiar with certain security steps. 

Among others, he reminded them of the important need to have detail information about the names of their parents, their telephone numbers, the address of where they live, as doing so will help them during emergencies. 

DSP Tochukwu, who noted that the children are the leaders of tomorrow, also admonished the parents to monitor their children as they are the future and part of every community's conscience which should not be neglected for any reason. 

Among other gift items, the command distributed books and school bags to the pupils. 

The visit was conducted in collaboration with the state chapter of the Police Community Relations Committee.
