Yahoo Boy Jailed Two Years For Posing As White Lady

Justice A.A. Bello of the Kaduna State High Court, Kaduna has convicted and sentenced one Macaulay Mathew to two years imprisonment on one count charge bordering on possession of fraudulent documents brought against him by the Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The charge reads, “that you, Macaulay Mathew (M) sometime between December, 2022 and April, 2023 in Kaduna, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, had in your possession a document containing false pretence to wit: a profile you dishonestly created on Snapchat where you represented yourself as one Ms Dancing Tits, a white Syrian woman based in the United States of America which pretence you knew to be false and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 6 of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006 and punishable under Section 1(3) of the same Act”.

 The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge when it was read to him. Justice Bello convicted and sentenced Mathew to two years imprisonment or a fine of N150, 000.00 (One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira).

 He is also to forfeit one Apple iPhone 6S to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
