WOMEN IN NATION BUILDING: UMAHI SPEAKS ON THE ROLE OF WOMEN IN NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT.

As the Hon. Minister eulogizes the powerful role of women in deepening the prospects of national development.

The Honourable Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi on the 13th of February, 2014, had an audience with the wife of the governor of Ebonyi State, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs. Uzoamaka Mary-Maudline Nwifuru and the First Daughter of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Iyaloja General, Chief Mrs. Folasade Tinubu-Ojo in his office in Abuja. 

Speaking during the meeting, Umeahi stated that “women play a great role in nation-building”. Speaking further he said that “a nation cannot progress without the active participation of women. Women have proven that they are the most essential and the most critical pillar of our nation. They are simply the strength and power of a successful and progressive society. Our support to the cause of the women is unwavering.”
