Supreme Court Ruling; Davido Celebrates Adeleke’s Victory, Says ‘Shock Them Like High Tension,’

David Adeleke, the Afrobeats singer, Known as Davido, has celebrated the victory of his uncle on Tuesday, after the ruling of the Supreme Court in the case of the Osun State governorship election.

The apex court had on Tuesday affirmed his uncle, Ademola Adeleke as the validly elected Osun state governor, in the governorship election conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, election last year.

Davido in his reaction on his verified twitter handle, on Tuesday, immidiately after the judgement of the supreme court, mocked the opposition party with a line from his ‘Over Dem’, a track in his latest album, “Timeless” and tweeted, “We go dey shock them like high-tension’.

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court, held that Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, was the authentic winner of the Osun State Governor.

Justice Emmanuel Agim, who delivered the judgement,  dismissed an appeal that was lodged against Adeleke’s election victory by the former governor of the state, Adegboyega Oyetola, who was the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
