Prince Harry : The Royal Alien At Father's Coronation

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex came to London for the coronation of King Charles III, his father. But unlike his elder sibling and heir to the throne, Prince William, he was anonymous during the proceedings at Westminster as he sat alienated from senior royals, hemmed among invited guests, two rows behind.

Harry's estrangement was noticed shortly before the coronation began. While the Prince of Wales, alongside his family, came into Westminster, following the new King closely and indeed featured prominently during the ceremony, Harry arrived alone and sat quietly among royal guests.

He exchanged no pleasantry with neither his brother nor other royals.

At the end of the ceremony, the Prince simply melted out anonymously while the new King, along with the Queen Consort, Prince William and family were seen waving to the crowd at Buckingham Palace.

Harry was later seen waiting for a car that took him straight to the Heathrow Airport, onward the journey back to his Southern California, US, home, where he was scheduled to join his son on his birthday.

Harry's isolation is not altogether unexpected. It followed his decision to quit his royal duties after which he lost his royal ranking in the senior cadre. That is in addition to alienating himself from particularly his father and brother, following his decision to give a scathing public review of palace secrets in his memoir, “Spare.”

The book made a particular stinker of his stepmother, now Queen Consort, Camilla, whom he holds responsible for wrecking his mother's marriage.

He pointed accusing fingers at Camilla for leaking private conversations to the media to rehabilitate her own image after marrying Charles.

In 2020, Harry moved to the US with his family, leaving royal life behind after complaining about undue and very intense scrutiny and racist attitudes from the British press.
