PEPC Admits More Exhibits Against Tinubu

The Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC, on Friday, admitted six more exhibits from the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi.

The six are in addition to other six states earlier tendered on Thursday in his quest to prove allegations of electoral malpractices in the conduct of the February 25 presidential election in which Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared a winner.

On Thursday, Obi and his party tendered exhibits from Benue, Cross River, Ekiti, Niger, Osun and Rivers and added another six during Friday’s proceedings. The states include Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Edo, lagos and Oyo.

The exhibits include certified true copies of originals of forms EC8A used in the February 25 presidential election and certified by the National Electoral Commission, INEC.

According to a breakdown of the fresh exhibits, forms EC8A were admitted in 21 council areas of Adamawa, 8 from Bayelsa, 31 from Oyo, 18 from Edo, 20 from Lagos and 31 from Akwa Ibom.

Obi admitted to the court, through his counsel, Peter Afoba, SAN, that documents have been exhausted for the day. He prayed the Court to consider the admitted documents as read.

However, the request was opposed by all respondents in the matter, insisting that they will adduce reasons for their objection at the final stage of address.
