Osun Police Arrests Man Who Called For Killing Of Igbos In Nigeria Over Hate Speech
The 28 year old Kehinde Adesogba Adekusibe, who called for the killing of all Igbos in Nigeria has been arrested by the Osun State Police Command for posting hateful content calculated to incite ethnic violence in the country.

The Adekusibe, allegedly used his twitter account on May 18, 2023, to post the inciting post calling for the killing of all Igbos in Nigeriai.
Police said the suspect would be arraigned in court upon completion of investigation. The Police in Osun State Adesogba Adekusibe violated the hate speech policy on social media.
His arrest was sequel to a tweet posted by the suspect on May 18, 2023, where he made inflammatory statements against the Igbo ethnic group
The tweet read, “Let’s kill all the Igbos. Let’s flush them out of Yoruba lands. I hate these people with passion. They are violent people. They are the worst. They hate us. Let’s hate them without holding back.”
The Osun Police spokesman in a statement said upon receiving the report, they initiated an investigation which led the suspect’s arrest in Ilesa, where he had been hiding.
According to him, during interrogation, Kehinde Adekusibe confessed to the crime, and would now be further investigated by the police before being charged to court.
