Lady Beaten To Death During Anambra Birthday Bash

A young lady, Miss Chinyere Awuda, was on Saturday, beaten to death during a birthday party at the Cosmila Hotel, Awka, Anambra state.

FreshNews learnt that she meant her untimely death during a spraying session inside the hotel’s night club, Club Mila, when some friends of the celebrant, including one Gabriel Chinemere, accused her of stealing from the money they sprayed while their friend was dancing.

They alleged that the deceased picked some of the money, adding that she also stole from the stack of money beside their seat.

They were reportedly so irked that they descended on her, beating her to stupor. 

Not done, they dragged the hapless Nnobi, Idemili council area, borne young lady, they outside and continued beating her until she collapsed and died.

They then dumped her lifeless body into the hotel’s abandoned swimming pool.  

“The girl was beaten when they caught her but despite efforts made by other people in the hotel to rescue the girl, they continued to beat and molest her.

"She was later dragged outside the club, and her lifeless body dumped into the hotel’s swimming pool.”

Anambra police command confirmed the incident, adding that those connected are already in custody.

“Four suspects are in our custody in connection with the incident, the hotel management assisted the police in arresting the suspects and investigation is still ongoing. Further details shall be communicated please.”
