Kano Teen Kills Mom Over Disagreement

A teenager, identified as Iro Kwarangwal, has murdered his biological mother, Jummai, over alleged disagreement.

The tragic incident occurred at about 5:30pm on Wednesday in Karshen Kwalta, Rimin Kebe quarters in Ungoggo council area of Kano state. 

An eye-witness explained that the incident occurred at about 5:30pm when neighbours heard the deceased screaming and calling for help. She was later found writhing in pain. 

“I was standing outside my house when I suddenly heard screaming from the deceased residence,” the eyewitness said, adding that the suspects who inflicted several knife wounds on her, fled the scene shortly after. 

The deceased was rushed to the hospital where she was however, pronounced dead upon arrival and has been buried.

“She had since yesterday been buried in accordance with Islamic rites. May Allah forgive her and admit her to paradise,” the witness prayed.

The incident has been confirmed by the state police command spokesperson, Abdullahi Haruna, who however, promised to give further details on the incident.
