INEC Rejects Election Results From Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State For Over Voting

INEC explained that the results coming from the disputed Local Government Areas were more than the number of accredited voters.
INEC had suspended the collation of the governorship election results in the two states due to irregularities, citing the disruption of the collation of Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State, as reasons.
Recall that in Enugu, INEC suspended the collation of results in the Nkanu East and Nsukka local government areas of the state, also because of the allegations of irregularities by the candidates of the Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
INEC, after the review of the results, however, rejected the results, insisting that the right thing must be done, adding that the result would soon be declared. According to INEC, the review of results from Enugu and Abia have been concluded.
