Imo November 2023 Elections: Labour Party Will Sack Hope Uzondinma- Chairman
The Labour Party, LP, chairman, in Imo State, Festus Onyekwulisi, has promised the people of Imo State, that the wave of Obi-Datti blowing across Nigeria, will sweep out the incumbent governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, from the Government House, during the state governorship election in November, 2023.

Onyekwulisi made the declaration when he
assumed office as the new State Chairman of the party in the troubled state, vowing of that LP would sack the governor of the state through the power of ballot box
Onyekwulisi, while briefing journalists on Friday, at the party secretariat in Owerri, the state capital, said that him and other members of the State Working Committee would ensure that the party’s governorship primary election in November, should be credible.
According to him, the party would protect their votes during the House of Assembly elections, which comes up on March 18.
The state party chairman described LP as a "movement" stating that the best way to have a competent candidate that would win the state governorship election in November, was to adopt transparency and democratic process during the primary election in the party.
According to him, Imo people have suffered greatly in the hands of the APC in the state, adding that the LP administration would ensure that the people of the state began to enjoy the dividends of democracy again.
”We have began the process of recovering Imo State. The first step is to hold a transparent primary election. In all this, transparency will be our watchword. Let me say it again that we are nobody’s stooge and the Labour Party in Imo State is not factionalized.
