Ex-Ekiti Deputy Gov Egbeyemi, Dies At 79

Ekiti State has lost his former Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, who died at the age of 79, in Ekiti, his home state

The former deputy governor, was said to have died at the early hours of Saturday of March 18, at Multisystem Hospital in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.

He was a deputy governor between 2018 and 2022, and died after a brief illness.

He participated during the presidential and National Assembly elections, where he voted on February 25, which seems to be his last public appearance.

He is from Ado-Ekiti, and was born on 8th of May, 1944. He was a lawyer, and was once Chairman, Ado Ekiti Local Government Area, between, 1992-93, before becoming a Deputy to Governor Kayode Fayemi, from 2018 to 2022.

His family is yet to make public announcement.
