Emefiele Gets Bail For N20m
*Pleads not guilty to illegal possession charges
A Federal High Court, sitting in Lagos, on Tuesday, granted bail to the embattled former Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, President, Godwin Emefiele.
The court, presided over by Justice Nicolas Oweibo, granted Emefiele, who is battling a two count illegal firearm possession charge, a N20m bail with a surety in like sum.
His lawyer, Mr Joseph Daudu, SAN, applied for bail for the former CBN governor, who pleaded not guilty to the charges profered against him by the Directorate of State Services, DSS, in whose custody he has been over the last one month.
